Air Shows are just plain fun...especially at the beach! Coast to coast a number of popular beaches host elaborate air shows with stunts, aerobatic escapades and high-flying antics. The US Navy’s Blue Angels the US Air Force’s Thunderbirds are typical headliners, but smaller acts are super entertaining and some have an added dose of history. Below is a list of air shows at the beach.

May 28-29, 2022
"The Greatest Show Above the Earth” showcases the men, women, technology and equipment from all five branches of the United States Military as well as our police, firefighters and their first responder agencies. This two-day spectacular event on Memorial Day Weekend features the Cigarette offshore powerboat racing exhibition, extreme water sports, military display village and more, all on the beautiful shores of Miami Beach.
May 28-29, 2022
This annual American air show held each May on Memorial Day weekend. It is staged in the airspace above and off the coast of the Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, New York, located on Long Island. This year the United States Navy Blue Angels are headlining the event.
June 11-12, 2022
The OC Air Show is the third destination of the AirDotShow Live Tour! The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline over the beach and boardwalk of Ocean City, Maryland featuring an A-10 Warthog close air support demo by Maryland’s Air National Guard 175th Wing!
July 6-9, 2022
Locals and visitors from all over look forward to the annual Pensacola Beach Air Show held in the summer. The show highlights hometown heroes — the Blue Angels — the U. S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron stationed at Forrest Sherman Field aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola. The Blues hold several practice sessions along the beach in the days leading up to the big event on show day.
August 13-14, 2022
Headlining this year’s show is the U.S. Navy Blue Angels demonstration team. Those attending will get to see aerobatic performances from professional pilots and interact with military and civilian static displays throughout the event. Food venders, attractions and musical performances will also be a part of the air show and open house.
August 24, 2022
The Atlantic City Airshow is the world’s premier midweek beachfront airshow, drawing more than 500,000 spectators annually. Acts are comprised of multiple military and civilian high-performance aircraft and helicopters from across the country. Flying in Atlantic City for the first time in five years is the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 Super Hornet “Rhino” East Coast Demo Team, which consists of pilots, weapon systems officers (WSOs) and maintenance crew. The mission objective of the “Rhinos” is to share the heritage of Naval Aviation and display the hard work and dedication of the U.S. Navy to the public. Pilots will fly the F/A-18F Super Hornet, which delivers cutting-edge, next-generation, multi-role strike fighter capability. The demo flight will fly as close to the “edge of the envelope” as safety allows, while highlighting the mobility, versatility and power of these remarkable fighter planes in maneuvers used during training and combat flights.
August 26-28, 2022
Inaugural airshow will be along the beautiful South Padre Island Beachfront each afternoon. Sounds of Freedom with the USAF F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team will be headlining this year's event! Look for historical aircraft flybys and demonstrations as well as demonstrations by Randy Ball in his MiG-17, Jerry Conley in his DH-115 Vampire, and World Unlimited Aerobatic Champion Rob Holland in his MXS.

This year’s theme, Back to the Beach, is a tribute to the deep roots in the Hampton Roads area, and steadfast commitment to the surrounding community, especially as we navigated the impacts of coronavirus together. The Navy’s largest open house in North America, the NAS Oceana Air Show is a way for us to give back to the community. Come onboard the Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base, see high-performance aircraft, and meet the exceptional men and women of naval aviation.

The theme of this year’s air show is “Marines: Fight, Evolve, Win.” and is a direct reflection of the Commandant of the Marine Corps Force Design 2030 program and the technical innovations the service is undertaking to remain the 21st century’s force in readiness. Guests can count on seeing the Marine Corps’ F-35B demonstration, the unique Marine Air-Ground Task Force demonstration, the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor demonstration team, Aaron Fitzgerald flying the Red Bull Helicopter, a 5G Technology Expo and much more.
